Media Server Software

MAXIMIZE YOUR VOCO SYSTEM

To maximize your VOCO system, download and install Logitech Media Server (LMS) 7.8.0 software plus the VOCO Plugin for your PC or Mac computer, or your Network Attached Storage (NAS) drive.  This will enable you to stream your personal music collection stored on these devices, sync more VOCO devices together, stream higher quality music files, playback of more music file formats and much more.   All options require a wired or wireless Wi-Fi high-speed connection to the internet and approximately 100MB of disk space for optimal performance.

It is a simple 2-step process to download and install Logitech Media Server (LMS) and VOCO Plugin software, please follow the specific instructions below for your device.

Windows XP/2003/2008/Vista/7/8

STEP 1: Download and install Logitech Media Server 7.8.0 software. Download LMS 7.8.0 Here

STEP 2: After installing LMS, now install the VOCO Plugin into LMS.  Click Here For VOCO Plugin Instructions (skip steps 1 and 2)

What music formats are supported?

Natively Supported:

– MP3, FLAC, AAC, M4A, OGG

Supported via VOCO Media Software Installation

Each of these formats require the transcoding into FLAC format supplied by VOCO software in order to play on the VOCO network:

What NAS solutions are supported?

Currently the VOCO Media Server is supported for the following NAS solutions:

– ReadyNAS Ultra 2/2+/4/4+/6/6+
– ReadyNAS Pro 2/4/6

What Wi-Fi standards are supported?

Our Zones currently support 802.11b/g/n with WPA/PSK encryption. Our products use the 2.4Ghz frequencies.

Setup Tips

- Download the iOS VOCO Controller here.
– Download the Android VOCO Controller here.
– Stand within 10 feet of the VOCO device when configuring
– If connecting the VOCO device to your home network by WiFi, place the VOCO device within 10 feet of the access point.
– Make sure mobile devices and VOCO devices are connected to the same network. Avoid Public, “guest”, and corporate WiFi networks as these networks tend to have additional security that will prevent VOCO devices from working properly.
– Avoid putting the VOCO device near devices that cause RF interference (microwaves, cordless phones, etc)
